So after spending more than a year with Android (galaxy S3) I decided to go back to BB.
I had a Bold 9700 for more than 2 years before I switch to Android.

Now I really want to Buy the Z10, but the thing is I'm not sure should I go for the 3G or 4G?

here in Dubai the middle east version is 3G (it supports Arabic language),

You can get the 4G version also from some shops which they import from USA, But I'm not sure if it supports Arabic or not?

So can anyone please explain the main differences between the 3G and 4G Z10?

is it only the band or the hardware is better also in the 4G?

And if I buy the 4G can I add Arabic language to it? would it supports Arabic (for opening Arabic websites, typing,..etc.)

The main difference between the 2 are like you said one supports 4G and one does not. The one that does not also has a different processor. the majority of the leaked OSs that come out are not for the middle east version (stl100-1) so when it comes to updates you will be at the mercy of your carrier. I know what the Arabic language looks like and I think mine has it (stl100-2). The screen shot is what I think is the option. Tell me if it is correct. Also so you know mine is Z10STL100-2/10.2.0.1371

Yes that is Arabic language showing in the picture, it is great to know that I can simply add the Arabic language.

How about battery life? I heard it is better in the 3G

I'm not sure if it is faster, it is just more common so easier to deal with when it comes to help. Battery life is probably about the same. Actually from my experience battery life is all depends on what OS you have installed. Some are bad and some are good. If you want to be able to use the leaked OSs that show up sometimes on crackberry then the 4G version is the way to go but you will need to make sure the one you get has the bands you need. There are 4 versions of the 4G. All for different markets. Just search Wikipedia for z10 bands and it will give you a chart. Oh and battery life may be better on the 3g because 4G networks kill your battery.

Depends on your carrier. Most leaked os are not made for 100-1

A 4G model will only be faster for you if your carrier provides 4G coverage in your area. Otherwise the 3G and 4G models are identical.

When an official OS comes out from your carrier (Etisalat), they will release it for the version they support. You say they use the STL100-1 so you should be ok.

I've read on the forums that the support for Arabic is greatly improved in 10.2. There were problems in Android apps (you can search the forums)
