I'm afraid that if I ever lay my hands on one, I might finally switch to android (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).

I'd like to know your thoughts about the Nexus 5 in comparison to the Z10.

    Thanks.

My husband has a N5 ordered. I'll just play with his. Android has very little attraction for me. I'd go back to ios before going android. But for now, I'm all about BB10.

Ordered one the other day and plan on using it a few times a week to see how it'd be like to use an Android phone as a primary device.

For me, the look of Nexus 4 or 5 is more ugly than Samsung Galaxy. I won't pick it because of just the look alone. If I were forced and threatened to leave BB10 and go to Android, I prefer HTC.

I've used a Galaxy Nexus and loved it, but when I got my Z10 I left it. used it occasionally. The new Nexus is looking pretty good. I love the pure android feel, no customization by the manufacturers to slow things down. I plan on picking up a Nexus 5 to use as my secondary phone. I can never truly leave my Z10. it's the best of both worlds on 1 device. The only time the Nexus is my main device is when I'm travelling in the US cuz T-Mobile apparently doesn't have a prepaid plan for BlackBerry according to the sales reps in the store.

Yeah, the battery life will leave a little to be desired, lol. 2300mah isn't that big, especially for a handset with a 1080p display and LTE. The new OS version does help, but not by much, as it's not optimized for the hardware.

That has to do with BBOS, BB10 no longer uses BIS so you can use any of their prepaid plans. Also look into roam mobility (uses T mobile) and it's cheaper and easier to pay when needed.

Even the Nexus five looks nice, I prefer the HTC one Mini for his look (near Z10). But to get a chance to replace my Z10, Android have to became better than BB10. And today Android is far, even if there is some good point on it. But gesture and hub are the best way to manage a phone today.

Nexus 5 indeed looks great, but its LG made (not a bad thing) but I have had frustrating software experience with my LG Optimus 2X world's first Dual core smartphone but it still has a great solid hardware.

Maybe if it was a Sony xperia. Otherwise I have no interest in stock android or Google's need to drown us in their 'free' services

I got mine. I honestly LOVE this thing.
The unit is so light , its feels great to the touch and the Screen is just mind blowing. I know many of you BB fans won't ever try it or switch but thats your choice. Your missing out. Much of the negative comments on here will be from people that love to hate anything non BB (especially Android ) but hey that's ok because the people that do Own one now will know the truth and will see what an amazing Phone this.
It has it all. Best part ............$399 for the 32GB. Ive had mine on all day up from 7am this morning using it ( demoing to my other friends , on Iphones or other Android devices ) and no issues at all. Im really happy with it .

I just want to play with one for a minute, that's it. I've heard the battery life is not all that, plus you can't add a memory card, right?

Just wait for the Z30. The End!

The security in messaging and communications will never be matched to BlackBerry. Android? IOS?

They are all second and third fiddle when it comes to security. Proven fact.

I had Android. Never again. Complete. Crap.
