Should I use the rogers sim to get the update ? How does that work ? Will I loose data ? Backups ?

You lose nothing. Just do it and see if it works. The worst that will happen is you might get some of the Rogers bloat apps of which there is only 3 possible and they're deletable after.

I've done updates this way many times, with no trouble at all. You won't lose data, but I would back up first anyway.

Power down your phone, switch sims, power back up, check for updates, dl. Once done, wait a few minutes, power down, switch sim again, power up...

Should be good to go......might need to set up accounts again etc.

Everything went great. deleted 2 rogers apps. installed amazon app store. reinstalled email account. Ill never wait on att again and will just buy direct from BB from now on. This is an easy work around US carriers though.
