Call me lucky but I found a BlackBerry Z10 in a park totally wiped with no information on! I was buzzing I had got rid of my Z10 few months ago for my Note3 (wrote forums before about this) but always craved BB10 as a second device. So yeah I asked my friends what they thought but they said someone would just come forward and steal it anyway so I might as well keep it, despite having a feeling of guilt for now I'm keeping it, I handed in a wallet full of money a decade back and never heard any back from the police officer so I guessed I'd keep it for now. I'm very happy I've got my Z10 back and I've realised the keyboard is so much better than SwiftKey on my Note3 and I've missed it so much I will probably hand it in but I love it so much.

If it gets reported lost, it will be probably be locked in some fashion. You can probably contact a dealer/BB with the PIN or serial number to return to the owner. The owner may have used BB Protect to remotely wipe the device which is why it contains no info.

Usually you are supposed to give the imei number to the police, or go the phone itself, then you can claim it after six months.

If it's wiped ( likely remotely as suggested above) and the SIM is still in it, then it shouldn't be hard to find the owner...if you try.

Doing a good deed a decade ago doesn't justify keeping something that's is not yours today.

They said they'll alert me when and if the owner retrieves it had no sim card locked to Vodafone was wiped and totally up to around the first 10.2.1 update only had a small update on.

This reminds me of a coworker who lost his wallet in a cab and later received a call from his mom saying it had been mailed to her with everything still in it.

My ant lost her wallet and someone called to return it and they gave it back with everything inside besides the cash looks like not everyone is as honest as you you did the right thing
