Anytime I plug my Z10 to the usb for charging or file transfer, I never get the option to safely remove it from my laptop. I use Windows 7. Does this apply to anyone else? I normally don't like to outright disconnect my media in fear of file corruption issues so this worries me a bit.

Can you "Eject" it from the file explorer? Right clicking on the drive and then eject.

Similar to PlayBook, I've never seen for my z10 either. Perhaps due to qnx os protecting file system then no nee,d or maybe device Mgr driver.

It's a no brainer. As long as you are not doing anything like syncing, copying files, etc. You can just disconnect it.

I'm with FrankIAm on this. There's no risk of corruption by removing it, unless you're interrupting an active transfer. Even then you won't actually corrupt the filesystem as a whole, but will of course not have an intact version of the individual file being copied at that moment.

I wouldn't say this about just any device, but I'm confident in BB10 not messing up from something like this.

Twig, I get the same message as you quite often, you can click disconnect anyway on the message. Like the previous answers I don't think it will impact much.
