I can't receive texts....and I can send one, but my 'replies' are my own message in bold. Nothing new. How can I start getting texts again?

I sent a text and when I expected one back, it was basically my own message. People have called me asking why I am not replying to their message.

Tech Support has basically said that I have a Hardware problem, and I have to pay $130 for the early upgrade. Isn't there anything that can be done?

Tech support where? I recently had a text message issue, called t-mo tech, they connected me to their BBerry/Smart Phone tech who determined it was a bad SIM. Sent me a new one and problem solved. Have you tried that SIM in another phone?

Also, BTW, it could be a network issue.

The notion that it's a hardware problem and you need to upgrade early..? I doubt it.

Try a restart:

Press and HOLD both Vol Up/Down buttons. Keep holding while the screen goes fully black (ignore the screenshot), keep holding through the Black/White logo and when the Colored Logo shows up, release those buttons.

If you have a Z10: If you have the STL100-1 variant the volume button reset method doesn't work. In that case, Press and HOLD the Power On Button until you see the LOGO as above
