So I got 2 Samsung tv's with dnla
I used to be able to stream media (music pictures video) to the tv's without a hitch
Use the play on button boom easy
So now for some reason (only thing I can remember I did to the phone, is update)
In my settings, my Z10 "Sees" the devices to share media with, but they don't show up in the "Play On" screen
Even funnier, i can search from the tv in my device and play the media, but I can't play it from my phone (phone in control)
Yet I could do this before

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting or such I am forgetting?
Is my tv being an *** on purpose?

Give the Z10 a quick reboot and try again. Test music first, then try videos. Make sure TV and Z10 are in the same network.

So without warning, all of a sudden the thing starts working flawlessly WTF?
I think it's Samsung's way of annoying me into buying an s3/s4 lol

on my with 10.0.10.99 it works perfect
maybe you have do delete your samsungs from your device-list and add them again?

Woke up today same thing, do i have tp reset the phone everytime to connect to my tv's and stuff?

For some reason my tv(samsung) will only play video made by storymaker if it is saved on device. If I move them to sd card they no longer play, but as soon as I move it back to device it plays fine.

Of course my wife's S3 plays it fine, but i think it has more to do with it being a Samsung device than anything else
That is weird though
Anyone with another brand tv in here care to test?

Just checked it:

Z10 and Sony CMT-G2NIP: no problems at all. Can send from Z10 as easy as accessing from the Hifi.

Z10 and Sony HX755: no problems at all after I told both devices that they are allowed to use as renderer. Can send video and access from TV, can send Music and access from TV. Nice done: while playing music the TV screen displays album cover and information about playtime, track name, artist and albumname.

Additional Information: these Sony devices doesn't make much trouble dealing with DLNA at all, have various devices connected. Only tricky device for me has been: the Galaxy S3, esp. dealing with video.

As far as the dlna, I have an LG tv, and it works great. No need to reset each time. My issue is with LG's media share, and sending from my computer to the tv which is a whole nother issue entirely.

Maybe dnla itself still had some kinks to be ironed out?
