Hey everyone I don't have a sim card but would like to know if my z10 is unlocked or not? Is there a way of finding out without a sim card in it?

Do you know how to tell with a SIM card? If so and you've already tried it, then the only way is to look at other clues. Did you buy the phone from a carrier? Is this a carrier known for selling their phones unlocked? Is there branding on the phone? Stuff like that.

It's super easy to do this.

1) Bring down Settings
2) then Security and Privacy
3) then SIM Card

At the bottom of that screen you'll see 3 notes:
Network
Network Subset
Service Provider.

They all need to say "unlocked" underneath them. If one of them says "locked" then you'll know you're hooped. But even that is temporary. For about $25-30 depending upon where you can get it unlocked quickly enough.
