    2 questions:

    1) Can I find out what exact version of the OS I was on before I installed 10.1 OTA?

    2) Once I find this, what's the best way of rolling back to this OS?

    1) This will be difficult to answer. It might be much easier to find out the latest version your carrier had before OS 10.1 became available. If you want help with this, you will have to tell us which carrier you have and what country.

    2) This can be done but please for the love of all that is good, please continue this topic in one of the several existing threads by posting replies in there. Pick from one of these:

The original software version should be on the retail box.

Incorrect. BlackBerry 10 smartphones do not ship with software media. BlackBerry doesn't even offer downloadable software packages for the OS for BlackBerry 10 devices for end users.

Please refer to discussion in the already existing threads listed above for resolution of this topic.

I can only tell you what the last 10.0 release was on my carrier (Rogers Canada).

That was OS version 10.0.10.672, software release 10.0.10.85.

I have an STL 100-3 by the way.

I also have 10.1 and want to revert to 10.0 but carrier update only gives me 10.1 no matter what sim i put in it... (or without it)
I am in Greece and the phone is a z10 from o2 unlocked.
Is there a way to do this when the only current update is the 10.1?

Thank you very much for taking the time to help me out... very useful.
As stated on my post, I cannot find an official 10.0 version to revert because the ONLY version (in bb link, on the bb site etc) is the 10.1.0.273.
I even uninstalled link 1.1 with 1.0 and was able to have the restore button working, that gave me 10.1 also.

    I just did this.

    1. Download any leaked autoloader OS on your PC. Doesn't matter which version cuz you aren't actually going to install it.
    2. Run that autoloader.
    3. Plug your phone in without the battery.
    4. The autoloader should start to install the new OS.
    5. When you see the autoloader start to write and install, unplug your phone.
    6. Put the battery back in.
    7. your phone is now "bricked"
    8. Run BlackBerry Link on your PC.
    9. Plug your phone in.
    10. BlackBerry Link will see that your phone is messed up. Restore.

    Go watch some TV

    Just don't do an update.

I did the update right after.

My phone lags the moment I choose the "forever" sync on my emails.

In fact, I can't even do "select more" in my hub because the highlight goes away because it is constantly refreshing the accounts. I had to wait like a day for the phone to relax.

When you bricked your phone, link will download something and after that it should tell you to disconnect your device and follow the on screen instructions on your phone. In the middle of the setup, it will ask you to update. Did you skip?

Was that the process you went through? Unless it automatically downloaded the latest version from the start.

I would do the process again but make it so link isn't connected to the Internet.

I just upgraded to one of the leaked BB10.1.... , and it messed up with my phone. My Z10 was bought from Verizon and I currently live in Indonesia.

To downgrade to 10.0....., I just plug in my Z10 to Blackberry Link and press "reload software device", it then downloaded the 10.0.... version.

    Thanks be to God!

This is where I found out how to do what you want. I had to try it about 3 times but it finally worked. When I upgraded to 10.1, I was unable to get my work email on my phone. Once I downgraded I was able to get it working again. I hope this helps.
