How much scratch resistant is the BB Z10's screen?
Hi All,
So I've been enjoying my Z10 for 2 days now with the original flimsy plastic still stuck on the screen (lol I know).
I'm still waiting on that screen protector I bought online but the flimsy plastic is starting to get annoying now and I just want to remove it. I'm just scared of getting it scratched before I get it covered up.
So does anybody know how much resistant the glass screen is from scratches? How "safe" is to use it/put in your pocket (provided no keys) without the screen protector?
Thanks guys

It's awesome. Carry it naked lol! Had my white z10 since Feb 5th. No case or cover. It's always in my pockets (no keys) and also in my coffee holder in the car resting against loose change.
Hope I don't jynx myself lol but so far so good. Seems really durable.

I have had the phone since launch, do not use screen protector and I have 2 visible minor scratches. I personally hate screen protectors and am willing to live with minor scratches. Summary, from my experience might be a good idea to get one if you are worried about scratches. There were no specific times that I remember where I scratches it, just day to day use.

It's glass, which is harder than metals. Your keys wouldn't scratch the glass theoretically. What you do have to be careful for are the small particles of sand mixed with the lint in your pockets. It will cause small scratches on the screen, but nothing major.

I used it without a screen protector for a few days before I got one from a friend who also has a z10. Didn't scratch up thankfully.

I keep mine in the holster when I'm moving around... never just loose in a pocket. In the car it has its own holder with nothing in it.
I kept my 9700 in my pocket naked with keys and loose change etc and the screen never got scratched in 3 years... the REST of the phone took a heck of a beating but the screen was fine.
I'll be going naked with the phone but I will say as soon as I feel grit on it I clean it off immediately and very carefully. I'm also very careful with my microfiber cloth when I wipe the screen down.

Never ever use a screen protector, and have never had bad luck. Haven't scratched a screen yet!

I'm in commercial construction, many people use a case in my industry, but I always keep it bare because if the phone doesn't work well without a case (iPhone 4 was bad at this) then I don't want it at all.
It's a tool, and (in my opinion) if it needs a case it wasn't well designed to begin with.
Granted I'm not as picky about my device having a few scratches on the shell or edges etc...

MIne scratched and I'm not sure how. I'm hoping I can find a screen protector that covers the scratch somewhat because I'm very careful with my phone, but I didn't put a screen protector on right away. My torch never had a screen protector and never scratched.
