I was planning on switching over to the samsung galaxy s4 mini but it isnt released yet in canada so ended up getting the z10. The internet browser is so much faster than my 9900. One main issue is the battery. I got 6-7 hours today and was wondering if that is a regular thing for the z10. If not I plan on exchanging it.

I can go for a day of heavy usage off 12hrs.

30% brightness, no LTE, typically in wifi area, 30 second screen auto-off, usually running 2 active frames - battery monitor and wallpaper hd.

I can typically go about 8-10 hrs when I'm home, wifi on, blue tooth on and streaming music to a jam box. Now at work, in a large cinderblock building, with horrible reception, wifi off, blue tooth off, I've been lucky to make it to lunch, about 4 hrs.

Then I bought the charging bundle. Wow. Swapped out the battery last might, went the whole workday. I don't know if maybe I was just getting good reception or if maybe the battery I got with my phone is bad.

This was my number one dissapointment with the Z10. Had to turn off too many features and carry chargers and USB cable everywhere....so I got a Q10 instead. problem solved!

The OS seems to take about five days to settle. It's doing a lot as it indexes and optimizes. After that, it's good. 12-16 hours on a charge if you switch to wifi when available.

Best time was 32 hours. WLAN and Bluetooth on. Lots of surfing probably an hour of calls. Worst was 3 hours. Then I ditched the ebay app and Transzilla and now the iPhone 5 guys at work are all envious of my charging time.

18-24 hours, only thing changed is no 4G/LTE. Brightness 90-100%.

Depends how many phone call and emails made throughout the day.

If i use wifi it will last for 12-18 hours.

I use the STL 1 version. I don't know why I have such a bad battery life, but most people I know here have the same battery life as me.

I bought Z10 coz I read in most review they said the battery life is amazing. Well maybe it doesn't happen to everyone but still sucks...

I have tried the original OS 10, the official version n the leaks. But still having this battery life issue....

I have 300 BBM contacts. Used BBM only 1-2 chats a day, no sms or phone call, neither does browsing. Brightness at 10%. I don't play a game and I only used twitter 15 minutes for most of times.

But I hear the Z10 from overseas (STL 2-4) is having a better battery life like those people above me. I wonder why

I get on average 15 hours. Of the charger at 6:30am and back on at 9:30pm. Lte on, ****ty T mobile signal in my office, listening to music most of the day, some emails, quite a bit of whatsapp, about 5 calls. Switch to wifi around 5pm when I get home.

That's horrible on 3G for you esp if on stand by most of the time.

Mine depends on the day. I always close out my apps and browsers. Some days its almost dead after 4-5 hours and some days it lasts 12hrs. But I always have a charger close... which sucks.

have you tried replacing the battery? if you know someone who has good battery you could swap for a day and see if is different for either of you.

For 5 months I got 4-6 hours. Last week I did a security wipe and so far I am getting 24-36 hours depending on use. Absolutely no power saving tips except screen brightness down to 30%.


If you are getting 6 hours something is amiss, I wasted 5 months of battery obsession.

Keeping my fingers crossed that it continues.
