Security wipe is running on my BB z10 since more than 4 hours. Can anybody assist what needs to be done.

Let it run. Depending on the amount of data on the phone the process can be very long.

There are a number of threads about this if you search, but in short yes, the amount of time varies a lot. If you have a lot of apps or data on your phone it will take longer.

I just wiped my Z10 that I had been using about a year. Not many downloaded apps, a few hundred MB of pics, it took half an hour.
