how to link your facebook to your contacts on blackberry z10

Is it possible to manually link your Facebook contacts to the contacts you have on the blackberry z10. I know it should automatically do this but for some reason not all my phone contacts are linked to there Facebook profile.

Just go you the contact application. Look up either the facebook contact or the BlackBerry contact. press "Link" at the bottom. Then look up the contact you want to link to. If it's not done automatically you can link facebook... BBM, twitter, LinkedIn!

I've done it manually for several contacts, however when I click the Facebook link on their contact profile, all it does is open the Facebook app to my newsfeed, not their profile. Same if I've added them for twitter (opens twitter app) or LinkedIn.

I deleted most of my Facebook contacts because I simply don't want to have everyone on my Z10's Contact list. I've noticed I wanted to link a few people that I accidentally deleted and I can't add them in manually either. I go to their facebook and see what their username is (https://www.facebook.com/user.name.here) with no success. Same as natural_hero, I get sent to the FB newsfeed instead of that persons profile

I found if you want to relink a deleted Co tact from Facebook, I had to remove Facebook from accounts and then re add it. Otherwise I had the same problem as you when I manually added their Facebook username

Yes, I have this problem too.

For some reason not all of my contacts are automatically syncing. I have to do it manually. But the process is painfully ridiculous..
I have:
1. Set the contact view to NOT show my Facebook contacts ( I don't want to have everyone on my phone.)

In order to link you have to:

1. Check that your contact list INCLUDES Facebook contacts.

2. then manually use the button link to connect two contacts.

What the problem is that NOT EVERYONE LIKES having ALL FB FRIENDS ON HIS PHONE. So un checking it not enough because then you have to restart your phone in order to Contact list to apply the changes.

The only time it gives me options to do this linking with out the steps mentioned above is when that person:
1.calls me and lefts the number in my call list
2. Then I can create new contact and get link option to show FB contacts with out having to manually make it show in my AddressBook

Does anyone else have this experience?

yes, very annoying. I am so frustrated with the contacts situation, i'm considering removing Facebook from this phone entirely, I do not want all my facebook and twitter friends in my address book, however, the friends I do have I want to show thier linked infomation, like on the bold

Go to contacts>settings and choose from there which set of contacts you want to be included in your main contacts list. My phone contact list was really crowded but now i just have my BBM and SIM card contacts showing. Hope this helps

new to BB moved over from Iphone. where in the settings on the z10can you select what contacts you see. i can see my linked accounts i've switched of syncing account info but i can not see which accounts you can view?

Again, go into the hub, hit the 3 dots in the bottom right, hit settings and then hub management

For contacts, go into the contacts app, swipe down from top and hit settings.
