Is anyone aware of BlackBerry, Microsoft or any developer plans on developing a working Lync client for BlackBerry 10? The version published by BlackBerry needs BES due to security reasons (wonder if active sync is fully secure as that found its place in BlackBerry 10)..

Side loading android client for Lync does not work and there are no 3rd party apps to support?

My company has BES but not BES 10.. can I still use it or would a Z10 specifically need BES10 only?

Some rumors in another thread that you need BES 10 and the Lync client will be out in Q4. This is a big one for us.

Office Talk does work. Have to sideload it and it is just OK. Not nearly as good as the BB7 OCS/Lync IM client.

Have tried office talk.. unfortunately it's crippled and does not notify on incoming message, even when it is open in one of the active frames..

I can port my Lync client to Blackberry if someone pays me.
I already have portable core code for Lync functions.
I made a Lync client for iPhone and iPad. You can see it on the app store, or at Home

Hello Wync,

Well we are the end users and might not be able to support development.. I hope there are commercial benefits by making one for BlackBerry and posting as a paid application on BlackBerry world.

I'd buy the app right away. One of the last things I miss from OS6, and comparing to people running iOS/Android in our office.
