I 'm having trouble with BB Link and can't communicate between my Z10 and computer. After spending hours with BB Tech Support they suggest I "Reload" my BB, but that will wipe all my pictures - so they suggest I first transfer pictures to a media card. I've put in a media card, but how do I transfer pictures from internal device memory to the media card?

Use the device switch app www.deviceswitch.com
Use the transfer via SD card option

After finishing, your media will be located in a folder called deviceswitch-backup on your SD card

Turn on usb mode and plug the phone in then move the photos from the device to the card.

Thanks! Files are all transferred to the SD card ---- but now I have a dumb question: how do I "find" the SD card on my Z10 so I can look for the "deviceswitch-backup" file?

Open the file manager app, switch to the SD card tab (bottom left corner)
    The folder should be there

    No problem
Before you reload OS, double check to make sure media card encryption is DISABLED

    Settings > security > encryption

Also, Instead of just media, I'd recommend using the device switch app to do a "full" backup.

After the reload, restore using the device switch app. This way you won't lose contacts, notes etc.

*note* everytime you use the device switch app to backup to SD, it overwrites the deviceswitch-backup folder. So if you've delete the stuff on your DEVICE then perform another backup, it will delete the old backup.

So only perform a 'device switch app' backup if you haven't deleted anything in between backups (or rename the deviceswitch-backup folder before performing another backup)

    Which steps did you use?
