    I cannot set the timer on my BBZ10. When I try to move the blue dot, the screen slides back to the previous one that allows me to choose between timer, alarm etc

    Hate to give such a generic answer but it really is the usual solution to oddball problems like this: have you tried rebooting yet?

    Tap the BB Clock app/Tap on the 3 line/ there you will see the Timer,stopwatch,world clock and alarm clock.
