How do I hang up on one of the people in a conference call without hanging up both? Anyone else end up hanging up on both when trying to disconnect to one?

The list of people in the conference call will show and you'll be able to drop specific people!

I don't have that option. Belive it or not it's not there. All I see is two windows of two calls and no options to select. Grrrrr

Not sure if this helps since you are on Verizon, but this is how I do it as well.
Pay attention at the 1:20 mark...

Then you are not on a conference call. You have an active call and a call on hold. Tap either and then the red button.

What if it's not conference and I want to hang up on just one of them? If u hit end call kills both calls.

He just basically told you in the same post you quoted...
You need to touch & hold on the avatar of the first call, a message will pop up and ask if you would like to drop that call. Click OK and the first call is dropped. Then you can continue with your second call.
