How do I change my BBM profile name and picture?

Just tap on your picture. You can find any picture you want to from your device to stand as your avy. Also, on your profile page, there is a box where you can type your info.

Your profile page has your pic in the corner and you name as it appears to everyone on your list. You may type in that box and change it there.
Below is a box in which you type a message if you'd like.

if you are being serious, you open BBM and tap your name at the top. to change the picture you then tap the picture

I think its a valid question. My dad had asked me the same thing.

Long press on any pic and choose : Set As.. then choose "BBM Picture".

I'm using 10.1 on tmobile. I think my BBM app is malfunctioning because I don't have a profile tab or the ability to change my profile information or picture. I had full capabilities on my 9900. I'm going to try and delete BBM and download the app again...

Delete BBM? its a core app are you can't just delete it

Well, I don't want to download 10.1 all over again. And I can't delete BBM. If I wait for the official tmobile 10.2 update maybe the BBM app will fix itself...? What do you all think?

Well, I don't want to download 10.1 all over again. And I can't delete BBM. If I wait for the official tmobile 10.2 update maybe the BBM app will fix itself...? What do you all think?

My BBM finally allowed me to edit my profile after I did a restart on my z10! However my BBM contact pictures aren't syncing with my z10 contacts. The pictures are blank and I can't find a way to add pictures to my contacts BBM profiles. When I select Open, it opens my z10 contact, then I hit Edit and the contact's picture is already there but when I go back to BBM the picture is gone. Why is that?

Your contact has their phone set to "don't display picture"...

BBM contact pictures are only added by your contacts . Not by you. You have no control over the BBM avatars your contacts choose. If a contact never posts a BBM picture, then the generic shadow profile is what you would see.

Hello Ambassador,

In the Z30, its very upsetting, some people dont post profile pics, and you cant seem to change them as you could with the old Bold 9900. in the B9900, you could link them to a Blackberry contact card, and the picture which you could of course change, would update the BBM one if it was just the irritating grey man.

However, some genius seems to have removed this option. Is there a fix for it? i cant live without a colourful list of BBM contacts, the evil grey spirit gets totally on my goat. Would love to hear your wisdom about it.
