How do I access media files after installing Micro SD card?

So I transferred all my music and photos to my SD card. Now I am unable to access it through the native. BlackBerry Picture or Music apps.

When I click onto those apps, nothing is there. The only way to view them is through File Manager. It's almost like I need to figure out how to point those apps to the direction of my SD card. Google results have yielded nothing.

Format the card in your phone, then transfer the media over again. Put your pictures in the Photos folder, and your music in the Music folder.

Did you use the SD card with a previous BlackBerry? If so, was it encrypted? If so, it might be that the data was encrypted and cannot be used on a different device than the one the data was encrypted on.

Hmmm, it's not working. When I inserted the SD card, I had an option of choosing to store all my pics taken on my SD card. I said yes. I've taken several pics and they do show up on the card with File Manager but not the Pictures app.

With the music, I transferred all my songs from the internal memory to the sd card using file manager. Again, I can see the songs with file manager but not the Music app.

I even rebooted the device but that didn't help.

Ok it works now. They suddenly showed up. My only guess is that I had so many photos and songs that it must've taken a while for the sd card to index them.
