i think for rim (blackberry) to survive its going to need to open markets in the us. it is very frustrating to have been waiting for this phone for almost a year to find out i got to wait longer for it to come out in the us... any reasons why?

RIMs fault, carrier fault or intentional marketing strategy. Take a guess and your answer will be as good as any other. We may never know the real reason.

    Because we don't like you.

Lol...just kidding, of course...I think it was a mistake not to launch in the US at the same time...I hope you guys get it soon!

The more think about it, the more I think it's intentionally caused by RIM. The USA launch might be more robust if other, more pro-BlackBerry countries, have tons of positive feedback before the US gets it.

Blackberry has stated its due to carrier testing. The US has more extensive testing then other countries

I think that may actually be part of it, in a way. Not hitting the US market first allows the phone to get a shakedown of sorts in friendlier markets.

Not sure if that's the MAIN reason; I still lean towards the "market validation" theory (see: http://forums.crackberry.com/news-ru...-delay-770305/ ).
