    when i write anywhere, the space button shows me an autocorrect word for it, even when i dont want that word, when i press space the auto word comes...

    any way to avoid this ?

    I found that you can press space to insert the auto corrected word and then press backspace twice and it will put the word you actually typed.

    You are not supposed to hit the space bar if the word you want isn't on it. To un-do this, type the word that has been irritating you, don't tap the wrong word that it has inadvertently learnt and placed on the space bar. Look for the word you want and flick it up. Do it twice. You will see that it has re-learnt your choice. And you should be sorted.

    This retrospective correction won't teach the keyboard to relearn the choice word.

    DMac: thanks, I dont know why i tried this earlier but the keyboard used to go... now i got it...but i wish there was an easier way to do it...

    cycletronic: ya i got that but its a bit tedious, every word going back & forth...

    Ah, I see the point about the auto correct training. I often type words that don't show up on the keyboard, so my only option is to back out of it after completing the wrong word.

    Oh duh, I just realized that you can add words to the dictionary by swiping up on the space bar. Silly me.
