Actually that's me too. Too bright in a dark room hurts my eyes the most. I find 50% to be the spot between a dim, dull and unappealing screen and a eye scorching one.

I keep it at minimum as long as I'm not handling the phone for more than a few checks of this and that. I often miss the brightness toggle in the quick settings. At night, the screen is a little bit too bright and I wish I could turn it even darker. Compared to my previous phone, the brightness is way better. Additionally, I use a non-glare screen protector, which ameliorates the readability in bright surroundings.

Optimum for me is about 15 to 20%. Everything above 60% is very unpleasant for my eyes. And btw I noticed that sometimes my brightness goes up, screen just becomes brighter but scale remains same.

I also think that with the latest leak the screen is brighter than the old leak. But i could be wrong

1955? Hmnn. Are u sure you're on that leak? I thought my 1925 was the latest. I did 1295 leak and it was there already

Used to do 50% but ever since getting an HTC One, the display looks so dull compared to even the lowest settings on the HTC.

It's now 75% and battery life seems to have taken only a small hit.
