i'm thinking of grabbing a Z10 as unlocked versions are pretty reasonable in Dubai.

I was also looking at a lumia 925, which seems to have better battery life.

for those with 10.2, how good is battery life, how much better than 10.1?

i probably would be an average user, mostly texts, 10 minutes of calls a day, maybe 30 minutes to an hour of internet, moderate app use (after the initial purchase when you play with it non stop).

If you don't play games, your phone will easily last a day.

If you start playing graphics intensive games, then the battery won't fare as well.

I don't do much texting, an hour or so of calls, a lot of email, an hour of internet, WIFI and Bluetooth are always on, and I use a few apps like Twitter, Taptu, LinkedIn, etc. and I get a full day out of the battery - not much change from 10.1 really, for me at least.

Battery life all comes down to usage at the end of the day.
If you use your phone heavily or non-stop, the battery is going to drain faster. With moderate usage, even with a lot of texting, twitter, etc, your phone should easily last you the entire day.

I'm on the latest leak 10.2.0.1725, and I've been getting some bad battery life at times. Like today, went from 95 to 50 and below in about 5 hours. But somedays it'll die close to 9-10pm

On a good day, I can avg about 10 - 12 hours of normal usage. Add in additional calls, conference calls, sending multiple pics during investigations, maybe 5.5 -7 hours. So, I can make it thru work - no problem. Extra heavy days after being off, I just plug it back into the charger, forget about it, and work. Also, I constantly play music whenever possible. During all day/night ER Investigations, I'll have an extended battery to use.....even when working from home. Hopefully, it will be here next week. I know the extended battery is not for everyone. But, I would rather have the bigger battery and have the juice....when I 'need" it(usually when you don't have access to chargers), than need it and not have it. But, that's me with all of my BlackBerries. ....also, I "only" use the leaked OS.
