The only thing that you may encounter is that any paid apps will want you to pay again. I tried loading an older version of app world but still didn't fix this issue. Just letting you know so that you're not surprised.

It is definitely smooth and fast. Haven't had it long enough to comment on the battery life but others say it's a big improvement.

I worked really hard for two days. Installed at least twice, deleted and restart it until I got it to where I am comfortable. I only have the double, triplicate contacts. I have unlinked and deleted them several times but they keep showing up. I have also deleted all contacts from the phone, card and nothing. Oh well, I just an imperfect man in an in perfect world.

Reload the software and before you restore from backup, go into settings, and payment options. Payment options will recover at initial start up, then go to BB World and restore your apps, THEN restore just your media and settings, and you should be fine.

I just loaded 10.1.0.2062...there's a night and day difference, and as soon as I get all of my data together, I'm going back to 10.2.0.228/341

Immediate response to your input. The current betas that are out are problematic, because of transition issues - backups do NOT play well with 10.2 in its current state. But MAN!!! Even with it being wacky, it's waaaaaaaaaay better than 10.1 anything. For me, it is.

There are not many "major differences" that are going to be strikingly observable. The one thing that you will notice right away is the spinning loading indicator has been changed. It's appeal is a matter of opinion.

Other than that, it seems slightly smoother than the most stable 10.1 I tried, but most of the neater things are in the options and settings. There are more options for things like the camara and other native apps.

One thing to note as mentioned before is that backups do not play nice if you manage to get it done at all using a work around. Also, for Verizon, the radio does not play nice, even using a previously good radio file. And lastly it seems (at least to me) to have issues with contacts disappearing in a seemingly random fashion.

If you start from scratch with new contacts and no old info and are not on Verizon, it is really good.

Been using it solid for a little over a week. Pretty stable build. Only problem I have found is deleting multiple contacts.

So it is confirmed then, that the Contacts app is still broken in 10.2?

I'm running the 10.2.0.93 hybrid and it has been great so far. All paid apps work fine and battery seems pretty good as well. Only real prob is with contacts acting wonky but not that big of a deal for me.

Yeah a couple of things: There's a blue highlight effect, confirming delivery of sms/mms, once you back out; when sending messages, there's a cool population effect in BBM...like your picture is thrown from the bottom right of the screen, into the message banner; messages delivery immediately; in sms/mms you can hold the contacts banner and the sidebar has a phone icon; Voice Control's A.I. can communicate with you, no need to touch the mic icon to confirm; there are other things that I'm missing, but these are what currently stand out.
