I've had my Z10 for about 9 months. It's been great to me. I've had a few issues in the past such as syncing problem with my contact list, or social media, etc. but I've always figured out a way to make it work.

HOWEVER, this time, I'm having some issues that I've never had before and it's driving me crazy.

It all started when I turned my phone off and turned it back on a few hours later. When I turned it on, I found that all of my apps were out of their assigned folders, as a matter of fact, the folders I created no longer existed, the apps were in a random order. Then, when I opened Whatsapp, I had to set it up again, as if it was a new phone. Not only that, but I even had to set up BBM again. In addition, some of my other apps don't work anymore (I keep getting a message telling me to force close the app because it isn't working).

I'm on at&t and using 10.1

Can anyone give me any insight here? Oh and also, I tried reorganizing my apps, but as soon as I restarted the phone, it did the same thing all over again.

I urge you to update your device. 10.1? Gee man...

Use Sachesi to grab and load the OS. it's fairly easy. If you tell me what variant (100-1/2/3/4) of the Z10 you have, I'll even hunt it down for you...

It's hard to really tell what the problem is with such little info to go on.
Check to see if you have "automatic updates" turned on under "software updates," in setting! I'd turn it off for starters.
Then you should consider updating to the latest Leak.
I have a Z10 with AT&T and the 10.2.1.1925 OS and my device runs so smooth that it purrs.

There is one difference that does stand out here. In most cases, our mobile devices make "us" crazy.
It appears, from the title of this thread, that you've made your device crazy.

I kept waiting for at&t to release 10.2, but that just isn't happening...

Just search forum for leaked os. Download the right os leak for your device. And it pretty much does it by itself. They will have instructions on how to do it. It is very easy so don't worry. Make sure you backup first though.

The same thing happened to me. I called at&t and they sent me a replacement device. Decided to just load 10.2 on the new phone using saches and the last rogers updates. Seems to be working fine with the new one.

I'd suggest you use this opportunity to upgrade.
Put the 10.2.1.1925 leak and don't look back.

10.1 I'm not suprised.

Also you can take a backup now but there's a chance you carry that over with your restore.
Best bet would be to use an older backup prior to the issue occurring.

Yeah I agree just upgrade to a leak. A lot of people have been fine with 10.2.0.1809 (1803 modified) which I also ran for a bit until 10.2.1.1925. I seen a few people express some buggy 10.1 acts of "do what I want" in the past couple weeks.

EDIT: It goes without saying make a backup of your Z10 first just in case. And if you have a micro SD card safest to just take it out if you have pics, etc.

You can save a step.
When restoring just don't restore Settings" only Media Files and Contacts/Calendar!

Personally I've always used BB Link and never had a problem.
Either one is good. (It's nice to have choices)

I haven't had too much time to figure out what is going on yet, but I did notice that when I go into Videos there are no longer any movies and when I go into BlackBerry World -> My World -> My Video -> Movies, the movies I bought are there but just open up the Videos app and say: Playback failed. Cannot find file " ".

It's my own issue, but I never connect my phone ("mobile computing device") to a computer so I don't have anything backed up or any leaked OS installed. Mine is 10.2.0.429.

Update: I would note that my memory was low so I uninstalled some apps. That did not get fix the problem with the movies not being there/playing.

2nd update: A restart has now got everything working again. My guess, OP, is you have too many apps leaving you with too little free storage. (Maybe this is my phone's way of telling me I'm better off without four different versions of Angry Birds!)

Interesting point... I also have low memory. I will also try and free up some space. But will also definitely update to 10.2.
