I bought a SanDisk 64GB Ultra MicroSDXC Class 10 card for my new Z10. But I can only get it to format to 32GB. I've erased and formatted multiple times in my Z10, but it keeps showing only 27.4GB usable space. Ideas?

Defective sd card?

No it is not limited to 32gb. I use a 64gb card

Erase and format on a computer this should work, also check for errors the pc will have an option.

I am using this exact same micro SD card. Took it out of the packaging and installed it in my Z10 and it prompted me to format. I did that and it works just fine showing the full capacity... less a small amount which is normal.
BlackBerry Z10 me likey.
Z10 only uses 33gb
Posted via CB10 using BlackBerry Z10.
Specifically format using FAT16/32 NOT NTFS! Then you can format in the Z10 ... actually it may prompt you to do so. I'm using the EXACT same card in my Z10 and formatted it directly within without any issue.
What FW are you using on your Z10 a leaked or older build?
Definitely not limited to 32. I have the same card as OP.

What does the card say on your computer?

When formatting on my windows 7 laptop, it only gives me an option for 32GB. I am using FAT32. No idea why I can't get it to 64.

Is it possible it was a packaging error?
It says 64GB on the card, but I'm thinking it's defective or mispackaged or something. Sigh.

You need to format it from the Z10 and not your pc. If it's still saying 32gb or a few less, then return it as it might have been packaged wrong.
I have the same micro sd card and have the same us able memory as emstar posted above, 59.3 gb

It's best to format from the pc

Using same 64G card here. I suggest you format it with the phone. Have 53G of FLAC music files on mine and working just fine.

Nothing like totally conflicting advice, lol: phone, no, pc; no, phone, no, pc.......
Well it couldn't be easier using the phone, just put the card in and use the 'format media card' button in settings / storage and access

Both ways are easy. My issue is the results. All signs point to the card.

I'm using Windows7 64-Bit, and my PC did not want to format the card w/FAT32 either. Instead I used other software that I have for partitioning and formatting drives (Easus Partition Master). After formatting it with Partition Master, I popped it into the Z10 and it works great!
I am glad I bought the 32G version, now we have Remote File Access, 64G or 32G doesn't matter!

I think this is going to do it. EaseUS showed 32GB formatted and 32GB unknown. Wiping and reformatting now. Thanks for the tip!
incorrect,,, if you format a 64GB card IN the "Z", it SHOULD utilize all of it...
I have a 64gb cat 10 SanDisk in my Z10. When I got the memory I just put it in the Z10 and let it format. Storage and Access showed 59 GB and change free.
Format from the phone so you are sure that you are using Fat32. I got the exact same card and it works flawlessly... just don't try to put files bigger than 4GB!

I recently bought the same one, mine works fine.
