The phone should not be doing that. I had the same problem with my old phone and the problem just got worse to the point that it would die when I still had 50% battery. I would send it in to be repaired

Sounds like new battery time. Might be a hardware issue but I'd ask your carrier for a new battery first as reinstalling everything on a repaired or replacement phone is always a *****.

Same with mine. When it reach 17% my phone shut down without going through 10%.
