    So is there any further updates to this thread?

    My son in laws z10 just started doing the same thing yesterday. Mike works on speaker buy not regular calls and fails virtual expert test.

    Backing up now with plan to wipe and install newest leak. If that has been working that is.

    PS, checked every setting I could to see if grandchildren, who are always playing with his phone, could have done something....nada.

    Have you tried using your earphones' microphone when calling? If you do and didn't work, this might be a hardware problem. If you're device is under warranty, you may want to ask them for a repair/replacement.

    Download the free Blackberry Virtual Expert and run the tests. (apparently in the newest OS it may be part of the Help app)

    Sorry for the lack of update.. was hospitalised..

    My advice is to change a new phone.. wiping of Os doesn't solve the prroblem..

    Agree, is not a software issue.

    Wiping and installing various OS does not repair.

    Talked son on law into buying a Z30
