I have had my z10 now for almost 3 weeks. Never had an issue with anything until yesterday. I am only getting audio out of the right ear piece of my wired headphones. Have tried a few different make and models and all the same issue. Just randomly happened. Nothing was done to the phone (dropped or headphones ripped out of jack).

    Anyone else have this issue?

Hm that's really weird. Are you listening to the native music app or a different app?! Might need to adjust the settings maybe on that app

Native music app. Tried to play with all the settings I could find. Nothing seemed to help. Tried the video player, flash imbedded videos, streaming music and all the same result.

Have the same problem with a pair of Sony blue tooth headphones. When I plug into the sending unit can not get both r and l channels. However my wired noise canceling Sony headphones work superb. Don't think it's a bug but more the jack.

i had the same problem, actually i had the same problem at times on my bold 9900. what i do to solve that is don't stick the headphones all the way into the socket and slowly wiggle it in and around until you get both sides then push firmly in. for some reason it doesn't recognize both sides all the time.. But that works for me, let me know if it works for you

Could be some dust in the headphone slot?

Tried all the suggestions. It might have been my hearing, but there is faint audio coming from the left ear piece. So low, that when the right one is in your ear, it still sounds like someone changed the balance of the audio.
Is there such a setting for headphones on the Z10? Like audio balance between right and left channels, cause that is exactly what it looks like it needs.

I had the same problem with my Z10. What i found was that when using my Beats by Dre headphone, i reversed the plugs. The plug meant for my headphone went into my Z10 socket and the plug meant for the MP3 player into my headphone. Problem solved.

For my Dre Studio Beats I kept the wiring the same but plugged them in all the way first, then turned then on, then played my music. Seems to work every time in that order.

I had the same issue yesterday for the first time while making a call on the headset. The jack was all the way in, but the call sound only came out one headphone. However, it worked just fine with the music player. Not sure what the reason could be.

If you have headphones with inline iDevice controls, it can cause this issue. Older BlackBerry phones would work fine with iDevice headphones, but it seems the Z10 does not. On the other hand, I suspect Android headphones may work on the Z10.

make sure they are 3 pole or 4 pole jacks, meaning the jack end of the cable has at least 3/4 black rings on it, 2 rings and the phones won't work

This just happened to me, thought it was the head phone so I switched to the headphones that came with the Z10 and the same thing. Rebooted and no better, however I then rebooted again and kept the phones plugged in on reboot and it is working okay now. Hope it's a software glitch than can be fixed and nothing hardware. Are BB aware? Thanks
