I'm going into a PC monitor that has 1080p resolution, with a compatible cable. Maybe I'll monkey around with the monitor settings and see what I can do.

Settings >display: at the bottom you will see options for hdmi is your phone is connected to a monitor or tv.

I have the same issue. OS 10.1.0.4543

Connecting to a DVI monitor through a Micro HDMI --> HDMI cable, and then to a HDMI --> DVI adapter.

The monitor is capable of 1600x1200, but the only option that I get when connecting the Z10 is 640x480.

The monitor would not have a native 1280x800 mode because it's a 4:3 display, but it certainly has a 1280x1024 mode. I don't know why I can't use that.

Especially since 640x480 is a 4:3 mode anyway.

Beware of audio loss when streaming. If you minimize the app to check anything you will have to unplug the cable and plug it back in. Other things trigger it as well... so annoying..... and no its not my cable or tv...

Hey, any luck with getting your display resolution higher than 640x480p? I have the same setup as you, into a DVI monitor and am having the exact same problem. The resolution adjusts fine when plugged into my LG LED TV...

Thanks for asking! I had not played around with this for a while.

On OS version 10.1.0.4828, same problem. Only offers 640x480.

BUT!!!

On OS version 10.2.0.1443, I get four resolution choices, including 1280x1024, which is precisely what I was originally hoping for. 1280x1024 displays the full resolution of the Z10 screen (which is 1280 pixels on the long dimension) in landscape mode so I can't expect much better than that.

Just tested a few HD videos on YouTube. MUCH better.
