I have a Playbook, and regularly attach it to monitors at the office to display inspirational videos (scenes of computer UIs from various movies such as Iron Man 2, Minority Report, etc). The videos play easily enough on the monitor even when I switch to read emails or surf the web.

With my new Z10's micro HDMI port I would like to do the same. But I don't want the rest of the world to see my BBM and emails, just the sort of work I do. It's simple enough to disable mirroring on the Playbook, but I haven't found a similar switch on the Z10.

Please, please, please let it be that I'm overlooking the obvious, and that it wasn't somehow left out of the Z10.

Press and hold on a video > play on > HDMI

Then you can send whatever you are playing to the background and do something else.

As far as disabling mirroring, have you tried under settings > display, with the cable plugged in?

Yep. Only shows setting for display resolution and HDMI audio.

I was hoping It'd be there since I didn't have an HDMI cable atm. Sorry Bro, I'm clueless then.
