i just bought it, i'm going to try it out today. It does come close to the volume up button, but you can get the arm just above the button. We'll see if it holds. It's extremely well made, I hope it works out.

I use Ram Mounts in the boat to mount my Lowrance units. They work very well. I hightly recommend their products.

Please report back when you've put it through its paces! I want it to mount m z10 on my motorcycle. I use other ram mount stuff on the bike and it all works well.. it's all well made and I'm sure the x-grip is no exception, but I'm just not sure the position of the volume rocker.
