Hey, I have a stl100-1 and I heard somewhere that stl100-1 supports HSPA+ or whatever it's called, if that is true then why is it that my phone only displays H and never displays H+?

    My network supports H+, my dad's S4 says H+ but my Z10 doesn't!

What other options do you have?
    Try changing it to 4g/3g?

Although despite what it says, have you tried running any kind speed test to set what speeds its really getting?

I checked with Speed Tester, about 2Mb/s. Did you try battery pull?

The carrier has to support HSPA+.

The STL100-1 will support it if the carrier does and has it enabled on your account. However, the STL100-1 will NOT support LTE, as the physical RF interface required is not present.

The weird thing is that carrier supports it, I jump between 2 countries and haven't seen H+ on any. One of those carriers even supports LTE but I still can't get H+.

I have an STL100-1 as well and with the most recent official update the option is there. The device doesn't have LTE this is a well known fact by now.

And how old is your sim card? Could that possibly needed to be changed?
Also have you checked with the carrier that you have the correct apn settings?
Better still just check yourself on your fathers device

Yeah I know it doesn't support LTE, I checked the apn settings and my sim is new but for some reason I still don't get H+, I will contact my carrier today and see what's wrong.

I am currently using Z10STL100-2/10.2.0.1803 with a Vodafone 4G plan...

    H+ on Z10-img_00000963.png

It's marketing BS as my Z10 battery lasts too long on 4G compared to my Q10 on 4G.

Try to make an OS upgrade and then check that out. But you must remember that not all the carriers have H+ in full coverage, some only have small amount of it, and for you to see that must be near the carrier antenna

I have the latest OS 10.2 and I even tried a reload nothing works, I went to my carrier today and the guy held my z10, scrolled around my 7 pages of homescreen then went to settings and then apn and said " the apn settings are right, it should work" so I ended up leaving with no info gained.

Funny thing the guy doesn't know how to use the phone.

It's definitely not a coverage issue as I have went almost everywhere in both countries and never saw H+

    Read?

Also, my old 9900 showed H+ and my Z10 shows H on the same carrier, but speedwise it's the same.

I don't think my Z10 stl-1 has proper 4G but shows it has. It's no where near as fast as my Q10 on 4G either so it must be 3.5G / H and carrier specific rubbish to impress people.

5mbps down on both. The carrier is Telcel, Mexico.

I wished I had the answer, but it seems like they switch for a variety of reasons and would not be possible to tell exactly.
