Does anyone have a resolution for the Group Messaging /MMS issues with the Z10?

Z10 on Verizon Wireless.

Issue: When sending a Group Message, or a message with a picture or sound (MMS), Blackberry changes the area code of the contact to YOUR area code. It doesn't appear like it on your Z10, but in a group message, if I look at the phone of one of the recipients who received the message (in my area code), it shows that the message was sent to the same 7 digit number, but in that specific area code.

Anyone have a resolution to this issue?

There are a couple of threads with this issue, no resolution as of yet, to see the threads do a seach in the z10 forum for "area code".

I have the same issue. I contacted Verizon support and I finally had do do a security wipe. This corrected the problem for a few hours but the problem returned. I just got off the phone with Verizon and they are sending me a new phone. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately the issue is with all Z10 phones so a new phone won't fix the problem. Apparently BlackBerry is aware of this and working in a software fix.

Received my replacement Blackberry 10 today. I was surprised it is doing the same thing " changing recipients area code to mine". I have seen a lot of posts on this subject on Crackberry but have there been an acknowledgement of the problem from Blackberry?

Took another look at this issue. My contacts are set-up with the following telephone number format (XXX) XXX-XXXX I deleted a contact phone number and re-entered with numbers only XXXXXXXXXX. I am now able to send a MMS to those contacts without the area code changing. Hope this helps.
