Indeed, people seem too ready to assume that if it isn't gg then it is useless when the truth is far from that.

I remember this same subject right before the 9850/60s were released. Some people were saying that it's junk without the GG, but my 9850 has been just great without it.

I have had GG on multiple Droids and never been all that impressed. I usually cover them up pretty quickly with a screen protector anyway.

People tend to sware by GG. I used to be one of them considering my first gen iPod Touch and first gen iPad are pretty flawless...considering how I treat these devices. Compared to my 9650 and 9850, my iDevices are awesome and I never worried about covering them. Then my 5th gen iPod came along and its been 6 months and already is showing hairline scratches. Grrrr...I don't care what's on front anymore, its getting screen protected regardless.

My Bold 9900 has never been in a case,no screen protector.. the screen is fine after over a year. GG is overrated.

Yea, Gorilla Glass is just like saying Band-Aid for a bandage, or Rollerblade for an inline skate. There's several other companies that make tempered glass, and none of them, including Gorilla Glass 1, 2, or 3, are completely scratch or shatter proof.

my friend's phone (iphone 4s) had GG and it fell out of his sweater front pocket and the glass shattered. GG doesnt mean quality.

we'll know for sure tomorrow though.

    Default Gorilla Glass?

I have owned several devices with GG. My iPhone 4s and 5 never scratched but my Galaxy SIII had what appeared to be scratches all over it. My conclusion is the glass is good but the anti smudge/fingerprint coating was better qaulity on the iPhones.

The Nokia Lumia 920 has GG but if it lands at a certain angle apparently the glass completely shatters.

Many devices which use Gorilla Glass shatter & break. The company can say " its shatter proof & does not crack" but in all reality, every single glass shatters / cracks.

According to N4BB, as of this morning (the 30th), they say it DOES use Gorilla Glass. (BlackBerry Z10 Uses Corning's Gorilla Glass - N4BB) So, who do we believe???
