You can install Google Maps via Snap, using the Android APK. Search on the forums. It's all on here already.

For the battery drain, you need to give us more info (altho' the Z10 battery isn't the greatest).

Sideload SNAP, it's a 3rd party Google Play Store app. Then go nuts downloading all the Android apps you want. If you don't know how to Sideload, do a thread search, there is a sticky.

If you want an easier way, download the 1Mobile or Amazon Android app store app right on your phone.

Spend some time searching the forums...

The BlackBerry map application is great for me... but I have seen may say that some regions are not so good.

Yes you can install Google Maps - it will not work fully due to not having Google Services, but basic features people have gotten those to work. Maybe if you post where you are from, others in that region may have a good option for you.

Battery on the Z10 is a problem - several thread dealing with tips on how to cut battery usage (usually by reducing features).

If you think the Z10 batttery is bad now, don't install 1Mobiile. It just seems to be constantly updating the apk's that you download through it, and that REALLY hauls the battery down.

I've been using 1Mobile for months and never had that issue. 1Mobile doesn't automatically update apps unless you set it to do so.

20% drop in 2 hours of browsing the Internet is normal on this phone. You need to get over it.

If you don't want to install snap you can just Google search for the gmaps 6.14 ask then manually install it.

I would suggest opening all apps once and accepting any permissions, or denying them, as I have found that leaving the request unanswered uses more juice than afterwards. Also turn off BlackBerry Link in settings unless you use it often
