About 6h screen-on time and doing something is about normal for 1800mAh battery. I have usually less than 2h usage a day, battery lasts 12-18h. It depends what the phone is doing. GPS navigation with voice guidance around the city can kill the battery in 2.5h, for example.

I ran about 3hrs of gps with no voice guidance that day. And keep my screen brightness all the way down. Got an average of 5.5 hrs per battery. And, while i do use it a lot, the screen certainly wasn't on the whole time.

Your display was on most of the time (according to stats), reloading the OS consumes a lot of power (when you swap batteries), and you spare batteries had less than 100% charge (as expected, die to normal discharge when not used). What you see is about normal for standard 1800mAh battery.

Every battery I put in it was fully charged and the 79% for display is out of 300% total. Didn't really put up the post to debate it. Quit the opposite actually. I see people argue on here all the time about the Z10 battery life and thought showing the full drain of three batteries and the stats of where the power went would help someone who didn't know what to believe. Not even complaining about it. Knew what I was getting when I bought it. A phone that has a 5-6hr battery if you use it.

When I use my phone at work (12hrs) I need to charge it at least 3 times. The battery life on a z10 sucks. Those who have +12 hrs of battery use probably don't use it, or maybe a few emails and that's it.

Get a z30 or passport... amazing battery life
And certain leaks/ OS'es perform better than some others... results vary!

Well, like majority of people I don't work on the phone and 12-18h per charge I find more than enough. Original Samsung Galaxy S had exactly the same battery life and was one of the best phones on the market back then. iPhone 4S had similar battery life and was one of the most popular devices. BlackBerry Z10 was never marketed as a game console, book reader or a GPS navigation. It's a phone, thin and light. Very few similar sized phones from 2012 will give you 12h screen-on and constant use time.

It's without playing games, listening music or running android apps. Only thing I use is calling Whatsapp, Bbm, email and browser.

I run my own business and have no time to go through 3 batteries chatting with virtual friends. When I need to speak to someone I just call him on the phone. My 15min phone call equals to 2h of your typing on messengers, trust me. You picked up a wrong device... or a wrong job. My reason to go with BlackBerry is to save my time, not to waist time. One gesture shows me what's new, in 10 seconds I know what's important. I'm home now after work and my phone has 65% battery charge left, and that really sucks... I want to charge my phone!

Then you have constant data exchange running. What you expect? It will kill about 70% of the devices currently on the market in less than 6h. If you have location services running all the time too, battery on most phones will go flat in 4h. Your solution is extended 3600mAh battery, phone plugged in all the time or a Passport with it's big battery. Nothing else will hold for 12h.
