    Well for starters you can add the following link to your Home Screen. Adds a nice icon. But you have to be logged in to get the icon.

    I use the blackberry hub native email for my Gmail. However when I need to search my labels or archive mail in my Gmail account I have had success with an app called Posta which is available in blackberry app world.. acts similar to the Gmail web app but also allows for notifications in the BlackBerry Hub.
