    Maybe people know this but you can't save a file that is on your sd card to the device. I downloaded the hockey night in Canada song to my device and set it as my ring tone. But then I moved it to my sd card. My old ring tone came back the next time my phone rang. So I tried moving the mp3 back to the device but I wasn't able to.

    So I had to email myself the file and save it to my device! Then I set is as the ring tone!

    try to move that ringtone to SD Card, THEN try to change your ringtone on:
    Settings > Ringtones > Notifications
