    So i just recently updated to the 10.2 software on my z10, its been bugging me all week to do the update. It took about an hour and a half for my phone to update to it, and afterwards it really slowed my phone down. Plus, it also would not load any text messages and would freeze almost every moment a message came in or tried to be open. this happen to anyone else?

    I figured there may just be a bug on my device and decided to do a security wipe. Well how long typically does it take? My phone has been sitting in the security wipe screen for about 2 hours. It is plugged in and hasnt been interrupted. The loader (circle spinning-thing) does seem to look like its buffering or taking awhile to think..is it safe to leave it over night?

    Any help is much appreciated,

    Yes leave it for as long as you can bare. But, I thought when it was doing a security wipe it's supposed to show a shredder? Did it never reach that point?

    If all else fails, you can always reload the OS via the BlackBerry website.

    It is showing a shredder with the loader underneath. there's been a few times where the screen has flashed and its still wiping. I hope by morning it will be done!

    Yes that is similar to what happened to me. My text messages froze after 20 minutes it opened up the conversation but the entire history was deleted. Really aggravating.

    That is why I am wiping. Had a phantom txt message that I could not delete.. Gave it 4 days to vanish to no avail. Into Hour number 3 for my wipe. Sitting with the shredder, sigh...
