Facebook pulling phone numbers. Do not want this!

Hey guys. Does anyone know if there is a way to NOT let FB pull phone numbers from my phone? I know in the old os6 there were plenty of straight fwd options to limit this.

Is there a an option called "BlackBerry Contacts application" that can be un-selected like on OS7? I don't remember what the settings were like on OS6...

Ya os6 i believe had the same application but with os10 there only seems to be "Find Friends" on/off, "Enable Notifications" on/off, "Sync Messages" on/off and "Sync Events" on/off. These seem to be the only customizable options from what i can see unless i'm missing something. Just dont like FB going through my phone lol

Go to contacts:

Swipe down from the top > Settings > Facebook Contacts = Off

Facebook can go into your contacts and pull their phone numbers in attempts to try and get you to connect with said contacts on FB. The older OS's had options built into FB to prevent them from doing so. Just some food for thought if you like your own privacy

I believe this just filters out the FB contacts from your phones contact book..

Log out, it should unassociate everything from the phone, when you login again, you should see an option below the input details.

Again i believe this just filters out the contacts from your book, they aren't gone just more or less hiding. Fb can still pull info from your phone as long as you have a FB app on it.

This can also be done by going into Settings/Accounts/Facebook. So does turning off all the syncing mean that FB wont go into your phone? At least in the old OS's it clarified it..

I would assume you need to turn off the "Find Friends" option - you'd assume in order to help you find more of your friends on Facebook that it would need to send your contact info to Facebook?
