Is there a good reliable extended battery that comes with a new rear phone cover?

How good is the official spare battery charger? I've seen it for �21.00 with a second battery.

This is strictly just my personal opinion however I would not touch extended batteries with a barge pole...

All that bulk, the less than excellent "feel" of the device and generally awkward pocketability of it just for a few extra hours battery life?!?

My personal choice would be to purchase the official BlackBerry Battery Charger Bundle

Seriously, for what it's worth, you either leave the battery in the charger and charge your phone when you need to or you do what I do and swap batteries out - for me swapping batteries is much more elegant solution than unnecessary bulk
