Why wouldn't we be able to do that?

Your question is a very funny one. Documents To Go comes preloaded on your device and should you try to edit a spreadsheet, it launches automatically.

You posted before you tried, didn't you?

    It's not opening directly.
I have got a link in Gmail to edit spreadsheet online. When I open it it goes to a website and displays a spreadsheet. I am not able to edit there...
What to do??? Docs to go not opening directly...

Just don't try to insert or delete a row/column. That would just be a CRAAAAZY thing to be able to do on an electronic spreadsheet in 2014.

Docs to go on BB10 is a sad shadow of what it was in OS 7 and under.

Oh for this, you have to download the spreadsheet. It can't edit Google spreadsheets per se, unless you set your browser to desktop mode (but it's a bit painful with the keyboard constantly popping up causing the whole thing to resize).

I don't think you can download it. But some have had success using King soft Office, for me it opens sheets fine, but then seems to corrupt the file after saving (or at least docs to go can't seem to open the edited files).

Google apps won't work on your BB10 device. As others said, you download the file and edit it locally.

Google uses it's own format. Editing requires converting to edit and reconverting when saving. Overall sucks.

OneDrive is much much better for saving stuff online. Integrates with the BB10 File Manager well too.

Sheets To Go on BB10 is saddening functionality wise, but works fine for basic editing of single cells.

WPS office is completely free and awesome functionality-wise, but glitchy. You can use it perfectly fine to insert/delete rows or use filters. You must remember not to minimise the app in any case, until you've saved your work though... else it may lose your changes or possibly even corrupt the file as it reloads the file upon maximising.
