Hey folks for the past couple of days I've been noticing my emails show up after I do a battery swap. Once the new battery goes in and my device is powered back on it shows me like 15 new messages. It's been doing this for past 2 days now and I haven't changed any settings.

Anyone else experience this or any advice?

    Cheers

    Do this:
Settings/Accounts/Tap the Email Account/Scroll down to the very bottom of the Edit Account screen to the Sync Interval section.
What is currently listed as the sync interval?

Sync Interval is every 5 min.

You shouldn't be syncing that often. I think the default is 30 minutes.

Presuming you have imap, the sync period doesn't relate to the arrival of email. It seems to be more of a housekeeping task. For example, when you compose an email, the composition of that email should be on every device using that imap account. This gets around the old trick of cc-ing yourself when you send a message.
