I noticed that emails older than a month don't show anymore in the Hub. I have to go check them using the Browser or worse go take out my laptop to check old emails. Is there a way that I can keep them in the Hub no matter how old they are? Thanks!

The 30 day email issues is a major sticking point with OS10. As much as I loved the z10, I use GMail and I am back on the iPhone 5 because I can see all my emails beyond 30 days and when I delete and email, it shows up in the trash instead of the "All" folder. I know this is an BB OS10 issue and not a GMail one, because I use the same IMAP scheme on Apple IOS and it works perfectly. I hope they resolve this issue in the future.

This issue is supposed to be changed with updates to the OS (going from 10.0 to 10.1)...

Make sure you are on OS 10.1 and then in the email settings, choose sync forever.

The op talked about Web browser for their email. Is gmail still able to go back 30+ days no newer devices? I thought it wasn't possible now regardless of the OS.

The "forever" option for Gmail has arrived in the 10.1.0.4537 and. 4543 leaks. Works well for me. I now have messages back to 2006.

    Just a follow-up thought...
You know how you get suggested contacts when composing an email? It draws on email addresses in your contact list, and email addresses from past emails. By having older email messages on your device, you will also have all those older (and possibly outdated) email addresses show in the suggested list.

If this won't make a difference to you, go ahead.

Sync forever works for all Active sync accounts since 10.1 and I think it's currently 90 days for IMAP.

Thank you for the replies. Is the "sync forever" for real? I don't have that option in my settings... I'm on OS 10.1.0.273...

It's in the advanced settings under email settings. It works with active sync account. I don't use it since I don't have a need for it.

Sync Forever is not available for all setups / accounts / configurations. I think only Active Sync and BES right now, and only on the "official" installs (rather than a leak).

On official 10.1 you can sync imap up to 90 days, but the option is only available when setting up the account - so I had to delete and re-add my Gmail to get it. Unfortunately I'm on the version of 10.1 that resets it to 30 days if you reboot the device...

I upgraded the OS and there-after added my Gmail account. On Advanced Settings, i checked "sync forever". At the next step, the App requested permission to sync conttacts, calender & emails. After giving permission, i noticed that the emails Iincluding old ones) are now synced - but the contacts and calender were not synced. What do i need to do?
    Can someone advise ??

Under Settings > Accounts > [your Gmail account], do you show separate entries for Calendar, Contacts and Email?
If so, open both Contacts and Calendar. Scroll to the very bottom of each and check the sync interval. Make sure they aren't set to manual. If those are good, let's look elsewhere.

Go to the Calendar app, swipe down and tap "Manage". Do you see the calendar there? If yes, is it checked to be shown?
Go to the Contacts app, swipe down for Settings. Scroll down -- do you see your Gmail contacts list? If yes, is it toggled on to be shown?

Take a look at these, then please let us know if your back in business. Good luck.
