    Hello everyone,

I got my z10 about 2 weeks ago and I love it. However, I do miss certain aspects of my 9900. I was wondering, is it me or is email setup easier on the 9900? Google was just as easy on my z10 but linking my work email (outlook) seems to be difficult.

With the 9900 I was able to just enter my email and password and I started getting emails right away. The z10 is different and I have read many post in relations to this.

What did BB change that requires the extra steps? I still don't have my work email linked and I not asking how to do this as of yet (don't need the "use the search" picketers to march in here).

Overall, great device and very happy with the keypad.

z10 - Active Sync, Legacy - MAPI. It has nothing to do with Blackberry.

Email setup was much easier on bbos and still is. I received a replacement 9850 the day after I bought my Z, entered my email addresses and passwords and emails started flowing. My Z required upgrading one of my email accounts, 3 phone calls to bbry support, and countless hours of my time.

2 of my 3 issues are still unresolved per bbry and remain as "open tickets"

The only issue I have with email on my Z10 is no "mark spam" button! Other than that no problems.

Strangely, I find setting up email with z10 actually easier. Use Gmail and Netscape Webmail myself. At least it does not require you to log onto a BIS in PC to set up, which is a strange concept to 1st time BBOS users on consumers front. All other devices allow allow setting up "on device" and it is the right way for z10 to follow.

I am of course talking about good old BIS as supposed to BES, where IT Admin will set up everything for you. I once linked an BBOS device to BES server upon IT's direction and kinda easy.
