So I'm setting up my gmail account on my Z10, and I noticed that when I received an email, I received no aural notification. When I went to Settings, Notifications, Application, Email, there were two Gmail accounts listed there. One was customized with my ringtone, the other had the original BB10 email tone, but the sound was set to "off".

I rebooted the phone, but the ghost account was still there (only under the Notifications menu, not under Accounts). So I tried deleting the Gmail account and reinstalling it, and this time when I looked under Notifications, there were 3 Gmail accounts listed.

Any ideas on how to wipe the duplicate accounts from the notifications? They don't show up under Accounts.

You need to do security wipe in order to get your blackberry straight.

Well, I managed to get the aural notifications working by narrowing down which of the three is the active account. So for the time being I guess there's no harm in having the extra accounts there.

Out of curiosity, that was three "mail" accounts, right? Not a mail/calendar/contacts combo?

Why not just delete all the accounts?

No no, under the Accounts menu it only shows one Gmail account. It's under Notifications/Applications/Email that it shows "Gmail" listed three times. And you can't delete them, if you long-press you get only the option to turn off all notifications.

Anyway, it's sounding like device wipe is the solution.

z10 on vzw running 10.3.0..1418 - but this issue has been persistent since 10.2
