I did full backup of my phone. The only thin that it sees to be missing from the backup are text messages. How do i get them back ?

yes, link backs up SMS in settings (im 99% sure of this), other wise it's in Data. I remember doing the test for this a long time ago, but can't remember the exact one however I'm sure its in settings

I hope it's in settings though. The backup file for Data is big and takes too long I don't even bother backing that up.

If you backup all then it definitely backs up SMS - at least I have restored mine every time so far.

However i think some of the core organizer aspects are actually backed up in Data and not settings.
The settings backup contains very little.

More granular control would be great von the long run.

Its supposed to back SMS up via link with no trouble. However after installing the latest OS leak, I too have lost my SMSs even after a couple restore attempts..

So I should install official release instead?

Well, I am not sure if this is an issue to this leaked release or not. Though what I can tell you is, this is the first time this has happened, and ive been installing leaks all along.

Obviously its a proceed at your own risk deal, but personally I find the leaks to be worth it.

it is 100% problem with the leak os update because i decided to go back to official release from my phone carrier and i got all sms back.

Mine were not restored, either. I didn't restore settings, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. I knew it was a common problem on this last leak, so I made sure there wasn't anything I absolutely needed before I made the backup.

I have yet to install a leak, but, my stock 10.1 also does this. Sometimes incoming calls only show the number, sometimes the name. Same with call logs...

Do you have any further certainty on where SMS'es are backed up? I've been having trouble doing selective backup with Application Data and Settings enabled. I've begun going around this by simply backing up Settings since App Data is >5GB; Will just the Settings backup save my texts?
