Not easy to custom paint on Z10 .first step remove existing paint and need through oven paint process otherwise cannot meet paint quality on Z10.

The black Z10 isn't even painted in the first place. The forehead and chin parts are through-color black plastic. The back is molded black plastic with rubberized surfacing.

It would be very hard to paint any of that so that it won't just start chipping off with normal usage within a few days. Baking alone wouldn't help. The base plastic is rather soft (as dents on almost every corner of my phone can attest to - before I got a case for it), and will easily give under the paint.

I have no idea if the white and limited edition red ones are painted or through-color molded plastic too.

Way back when the Z10 first came out, someone posted pics of a white paint job that was done to one of them. Looked okay from a distance, but closeups saw a bit of over-spray, under-mask wicking and a few finger prints in the paint job. It was quite sloppy.

Well, that was 6 years ago. When Curves and Pearls had hard plastic cases.

They don't do BlackBerry's anymore. Only iPhones now.

Did you paint it or have it done "professionally?"

Done it myself,. It's a bit fiddly stripping all the buttons, but it turned out great.

Rubbed it down, used plastic car primer then sprayed with ford signal green and polished it up
