I was just watching a video of the One's Sense 5, and it seems they got rid of that carousel-style task switcher and replaced it with a page where the running apps appear as large preview tiles in a grid.

    But it's a 3 x 3 grid, so it's *totally* different than BB10, lol...
Do you have a link to the video? That sounds like Android OS.

    around the 2:00 mark.

Doesn't stock android have a vertical list with little icons that you can swipe off sideways?

Naw, it's aluminum. That would make it more like, the iphone. The Z10 looks like an iphone too. Tech companies worship apple.
HTC has an agreement with Apple now - they for one, don't have to worry about a lawsuit

I for one don't care how much these devices look like or resemble each other, but rather how well the OS runs and man does the ONE really look appealing. Going to definitely check this out.

To be brutally honest, a company could bring out a phone with a camera twice as good as the Z10's, a faster processor, latest android, a battery that lasts 4 days, and the dominant opinion in these parts would still be "BB10's better!".

This phone looks interesting. Got to say though, I enjoy customising the look of my homescreen. Does anyone know if the "sliding social feeds" look is set in stone, or is is customisable to a more BB or iphone look ? If I could swap that scrolly-crap for a few homescreens of icons and folders, I'd be in.

Apparently the Blinkfeed thing can be customised or turned off.
It's an Android, so at the moment the customisation and personalisation options would be light years ahead of BB10.
It will however be outddated fairly quickly as most Androids are, and resale value will tank quickly.
Having said that, my Z10, bought at 480 quid about 3 weeks ago, can now be resold for about 300, which isn't great.

They have no patent on that... And while the functionality is identical, it isn't done the same way as time shift.

I was looking on CNET today and saw pics of the brand new HTC One phone. I couldn't help but see a little of the white Z10 in what I saw.

See, in the edges are angular, similar to the Z10

Not really seeing as BlackBerry licensed the tech from Scalado. Scalado provide this tech to Nokia devices as well.
HTC implement it differently, in many ways better.
Time Shift needs to be done on the spot for each pic.
HTCs version saves the 3 second bursts in your gallery, so you can go do the time shift on any of them later, from your gallery.
    That's pretty cool.

Absolutely, but I would certainly like the option to go back and play with files later.
With 4MP pics they may not be that huge either.
More features will surely be better though.
